Mumbai based Haridas Vhatkar is recognized as one of the leading contemporary tabla makers. His drums are played by many leading tabla players, including Ustad Zakir Hussain and Pandit Anindo Chatterjee. This is his #2 set, but these are superior drums in many ways. The tabla is made of heavy seasoned wood with a nice thick Mumbai style head (pudi) made with characteristic Vhatkar craftsmanship. This set includes a 2 kilo Bombay brass baya (Not a Haridas Vhatkar), as well as rings, covers and hammer. This price includes a $10 packing fee.
