The sarangi is an ancient bowed instrument with a unique and haunting sound. Until fairly recently the sarangi was the instrument of choice for vocal accompaniment. In the last half century, that role has been usurped by the harmonium, but the sarangi lives on as a solo instrument and occasional accompanist to vocal and tabla recitals. It comes with and bow, a tuning tool, and a vinyl carry bag. This price includes a $10 packing fee.
